Wow, tough one. Ok, here goes.

For September it was a toss up between "One Disgruntled Clown" and "Face-off". However, since you can't actually hear the clown's voice (and I think that was the main appeal of the picture for me), "Face-off" wins. I mean...you just can't script a "happy" face like that.

October wasn't any easier. It came down to "Friday Night Football" and "I'm NOT eating those". The football one had some great mini stories in it. Dan and Dave battling with paper footballs while their girlfriends(?) look on and duck for cover. Bill has a bit of a "whats going on?" look, and your Dad is just oblivious. But I think I'll have to go with "I'm NOT eating those". Not only did Juile go to the trouble of labeling a clear back of its contents, but it was weighed too. The over identifying AND reusing of the bag wins out in my opinion.

this was tough. in fact, i took a full day to think about it.

october 16th: swung on and belted... the composition is still really striking to me, and i love the black and white--i think it captures the true angst of being a cleveland sports fan. i think it took exceptional skill to capture the shot of the jacob's field lights on the televlsion screen, too. maybe i am also swayed by memories of being in your living room watching tv with you and your family.

a close second is wenyuan's first pbj. i remember my first pbj at age thirteen quite well, and i love the vaguely perplexed expression on her face..which i can especially appreciate knowing how chinese generally don't share the american sweet tooth.

and september 25th, my friend harry. i like that his hands look big and the way he is centered in the picture.

second place would be sept 28, wonder dog, even though it is blurry, because you look really happy.

the votes so far appear to be totally inconclusive in terms of picking a single winner. but totally CONCLUSIVE of this blog is fantastic and everyone knows it! ;)

october: Wenyuns first PB & J
september: m.g.s library ladder (although that is a slightly biased answer.)

October 7th: Good contrast. Sharp focus. Nice prespective. To top it all off, the accented blue pen works well too :). I liked this one the best. Your October 8th one was a close second...because the detail is high in that one as well...but I've always been fascinated with good black and white pictures(blue accents count! :D).

september 6- this is my fish. I've never been able to get this good of a picture of a fish in a bowl. And I've tried.

October 20-the playwright. And I have no idea what this is a picture of, but for some reason it stands out to me. either that or tufty goes to milwaukee, also a good one.

ok my favorites are:

October 17: Tufty goes to Milwaukee...because that duck looks so cute on the bed and I know how it feels to be homesick!

and

September 20: Umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh)....because I get so excited when I see people I love and miss. It's like I am updated a little on their lives and know how they are doing, and what they are doing. thanks for these pictures annie!

ok, for september I am voting for Sept. 12-Wayne County Porker, its a great pork shot and I have a soft spot in my wayne county- born heart for anything fair related.

Oct.- I am thinking Oct. 15th-Scrunch. I feel like it would be great for a greeting card or something. maybe one of those "just to say Hi" cards

this is probably a little bit overdue, but here are my votes.

If we consider the photo filled with the most meaning to me, that would be MG's library ladder, sept 18. I loved talking with him.

Best composition and quirkiness,
without permission Sept. 30!

I'll add october's later!

It is so much fun for me to read your thoughts! Thanks! I like taking pictures and it makes it even more fun to take them knowing you'll see them.

I thought the results would be more conclusive...there seem to be pairs of people that like tufty the duck, the goldfish, and the playwright, and the pig...but other than that it's pretty much a spread. More intriguing than I thought it would be!
