November 15: turkey cookies

Sometimes I wish I could do elementary school all over again. Tonight was one of those nights. We made turkey cookies and hand turkeys and it was good. This rafter of turkeys was fashioned by Emily.

I am currently eating some of those turkeys as I write this instead of I.S!!! Yay for little kids craft times!

wow, that was speedy...is that what you call a group of turkeys? a rafter?

Those look pretty nice...but edible? The candy corn really hurts their overall edibility score. Oreos, oh yeah. Hershey's kisses, mmm tasty. Frosting, I'm all about that. But candy corn? Not my cup of tea. Haha, my Grandmother would always try to get me to eat those things around Halloween. She couldn't understand why I didn't like them. Oh well, the turkeys are cool none-the-less.

yes, a "rafter" is a group of turkeys...I just learned that.

About the candy corn...if they aren't stale they make a relaxing "piff" noise if you squeeze them close enough to your ear. So, even if you don't like to eat them there is some gratification to be found in that little activity. (I know that thanks to emily, Julia, and Clint)
