I'm only five days away from completing my goal of taking a picture every day for a whole year!
I am of course curious as to what your favorite picture of the day from August is.

ahhh...it's september! i love september, and yet september always makes me feel sad, makes me feel too keenly like another year is about to slip past. something about august i still feel like there's somehow more left to go than has already gone.
anyway, this is a capital month for pictures, annie. i can't believe the year is almost upon us.
here are my favorites, according to category:
best portrait: linda (aug 18)
best closeup: to love and to cherish (aug 10)
best artistic statement: untitled ("the light" aug 12)
best backstory: surplus (aug 16)
best industrial scene exhibiting "local color": hello wooster (aug 3)
best lighting: ohio #2 (aug 23)
best all-around: squishy (aug 13)
so...maybe that was a little excessive, but actually, i made a list of potential favorites that included all of those, and i was unwilling to ditch any of them.
whether you keep photoblogging or not, i hope you keep taking pictures, annie!

best sky/landscape: orange sky (aug 20)
(if i were absolutely forced to choose, i think this one is my favorite).

I agree with most of them too.
But I'm going to go with August First. "Spectacular Clouds"
It's kind of a cop-out, I should admit that. But it's my favorite, even if it's my favorite for sentimental reasons.
Second place goes to the untitled "The Light" picture Julie mentioned under "Best Artistic statement"

August 27-eager anticipation! this might be weird, but it makes me want to cry. I am so happy for Julie and Jon--it seems like in the last 2 years, some of her most precious prayers and dreams were answered :)
