I have to vote for the adorable baby titled "making my day", or, of course, Dr. Tims's chalkboard, or the picture of all of us at the last leadership meeting. It's too bad some very important people weren't in that.
It's hard to pick just one! I like different ones for different reasons. The chinese chicken really tickles me. Visually my favorite is the 22nd: Light is sweet. But I really appreciate the 17th: friend for your description of how much and what kinds of things the sight of a piano brings to you. And the 12th gets a vote because Lindsay sent it to me as inspiration to dance! - Susie
hrmmm...april really was a good month. like spring, worth waiting for (though not to put down any previous months of photos).
i really like the colors of april 10 (chalkboard), and april 6 (good question/manuscript study) has a place in my heart. and april 13 (tiny plants) has been my desktop wallpaper at school for the past two weeks (when i finally replaced the previous teacher's wedding photo). you should also win mad points for whatever focusing trick enable you to capture april 20 (gospel choir).
that said, i think i am going to go with a tie for april 15 (beautiful day) and april 25 (lollypop). i love the way the tree seems to be reaching up into the sky, and the focus is such that you can really see all the branches twisting and flowers stretching for the sun. i also love how the blue is so deep and lightens at the one top corner. and i love the color of lollypop and how it's framed...i don't know the right photo term..good movement?
okay..thus concludeth my extended response on the photo of the month.
It is indeed always hard to choose just one, Annie. And whoever you are "May 2nd Anonymous" -- we are in total agreement about the "light is sweet" photo and the very moving description of Annie's encounter with the piano. Even the title "friend" is packed with many levels of insight. That little baby is so beautiful with such an engaging smile -- that's just got to be one of the tops! (OK- I confess I am an "old" grandma -- but I have always had a great fondness for God's newly arrived people.) One that I love that I don't think anyone else has picked is April 30-"the pretty tree season". It is very much that -- and one of the great things about Ohio's climate. Thanks, Annie, for a great month.
One, this picture was chosen to represent the best day of the year, my birthday! ;-)
Two, I have a very strong affinity for manuscript study. Strong enough to start a conversation about it with a complete stranger who mentioned it in his blog. (Just ask Zack.)
Three, it's taken at a wonderful angle and looks very professional/artistic/intriguing.
That's all of the reasons for now, but I'm sure if you asked me, I could come up with more.
Hmm, Annie, your pictures are such a great reflection on the joys and little funny moments and longings of your life. April 21 Pavlovian Response makes me happy for you and rejoicing in answered prayers... and April 16 Impromtu Party is fun. But for cuteness? I think that you just have to take a page out of the Geagerian book- how can you possibly beat that baby for the pure joy of life? For cuteness? For smile? You just want to look at that picture every day and smile... so, my vote goes to April 8, Making my Day. -Katie S.

My goodness this was a good month....
My vote goes to Gospel Choir, but Ben and the Koala and the manuscript are close runners up.
-Zack
And, at that, Chinese Chicken would have won most other months.
-Zack
My vote is for Gospel Choir or made my day

wow this was a difficult month. I cant choose between Chinese Chicken, Good Question, Gospel Choir and Making my day!

three way tie for me this month between april 6, "good question", april 8, "making my day", and april 15, "beautiful day".
i concur with other commenters that april was a fantastic picture month, as per usual!
April 6, "good question" for many many reasons.
