Monday

It's finally that time!

Come rain or shine, photography is a very serious business. :) I hope I don't look that consterned all the time. Eeek.

**Anyways** I am so excited to say that I reached my goal of posting a picture from every day of the last year!! It was really fun, especially knowing that you were my audience. Thanks so much for keeping me company through it all and encouraging me along!

I don't know what comes next for me and my camera. At the moment I am pretty tired of taking pictures. Aye. Largely because I've lost some creative zest. But, I know it will come back. So, I am very open to ideas for future little projects; themes and such to work on. For the time being I think I'll continue to post some pictures every week. So, I hope you'll check back now and then.

But for now, for reasons which I will inform you of in due time, I would absolutely love to know what your favorite picture of the year was. So, if you would be so kind I would love to hear what you think! Thank you!

Love,

Annie

Definitely the spice picture. Or the picture of the squash as a duck.

By the way, I love all your pictures and it was incredibly hard to choose.

Top 5?
2.27, market street
7.25, aphid!
6.20, marbles
6.6. paper crane
4.12, ballroom dancing
I mean, mostly i loved the ones of me, but that seemed a little wrong. I can't believe its been a whole year!

It's so hard to detach sentiment from this, because so many of these remind me of significant things in my life (SLT, for instance). I might go with the Birdhouse and the Baby from the beginning of November....

but I don't think I can actually pick a favorite.

Well, Cedar Sunset might take the cake, if I don't fight off sentiment.

But when I open the sentiment door, the notes on II Timothy attacks my mind in the best of ways.

Those are my options.

Analyze what I said and pick my favorite for me. And by that, I mean come up with what you think my favorite is, based on that. Because I can't...that's your job, as the reader. That's what my teachers say at least.

oh, zack, you have been spending too much time around deb shostak! give the reader a break! (not that i can't relate to your dilemma, though).

okay. i have reviewed the year, and here are my findings.

overall favorites:
***first, i will say i am pretty fond of the "consterned" picture. but sticking to the year of pictures...

1. april 15 - beautiful day
2. october 29 - Ohio
3. june 6 - paper crane

i particularly enjoyed rereading a lot of the captions and titles. some of the "annie-est" (and hence most delightful) were: the snow "lolloping over the horizon" of dec 12 (last of the pumpkins, the title of "resilient hood snowmen," the april 9 title "you're going to need to zoom in" to see the bizarre lawn ornaments, the caption for "not what i ordered" on jan 17, and the action shot of oct 30 (with permission). i picked the prettiest ones for my favorites, but i think some of my real favorites are the really funny ones, like "the postal service reconsiders its motto..."

anyway..it's been a great year for pictures, annie. i enjoyed being directly and indirectly involved with a lot of them.

i can't do this. it is too hard. i am only halfway through the year and i already have FOUR can't-decide-without-feeling-like-i-have-wronged-the-creative-process picks. and that doesn't even count the ones i really like but can't call absolute favorites.

so, i boycott this decision.

Oh great, now i feel like a jerk for picking favorites. Way, to go, sweet diplomatic impartial people.

Is it too late to contribute?

For some reason I've not been able to open the 2007 pictures... but I think that any pictures that you remmeber should be on the list. THerefore, I would like to nominate the pictures that I would remember even if I didn't see them in from of me.

Brandon and Becca's wedding with the spaklers in a heart (Is that on there? Like I said, I can't open 2007.)

SLT in sparklers on July 4th.

The annoyed cat from February. It's just such a funny cat!

Able Geogerian- it's perhaps the happiest picture that you have on here. Who could look at that and not be happy?

I'm surprised though as I looked through the year at how many of them I remembered! So many of the picutres are so memorable, either because they are just beautiful pictures or because of the good stories or because of the funny/unique things that they capture. (Yard gnomes, anyone?)

Good job Annie! You really outdid yourself on this and provided a wonderful pictoral glimpse into your life for everyone.

I can't remember if I sent my list to you or not...but I'm posting it here just in case.
I think it's humanly impossible to vote on just one photo for the year. Here are my top 5:

ap.7
dec.25
dec.1
nov.11
and "sparklie heart"

It has been such a pleasure looking at your life each day!!!
