Well....

That picture of Tufty from the second is glorious. I really enjoyed the night with Cowboy Joe.....but...

There's something Esoterically beautiful about Riding with Pancho...I think I'll have to go with that. He capped off the month...and he warmed my heart while doing it. There's something in those eyes that say "I know you love me, I know you do. You wouldn't want to hurt little old Pancho, now, would you?" But you do want to hurt Pancho. You want to but his legs off and eat everything that comes out. You want to literally drain him of his innards for your own nourishment. It's good though, don't be too sad. While Pancho's eyes talk a good talk, if you let a donkey pinata live in your house too long, he starts eating your food and running up the electricity bill, watching reruns of Ellen and Home Improvement. I guess he can't help it, he's just donkey after all. But he's not worth the trouble. He'd be much better off broken to pieces. At least you get candy that way.

After that commentary from Zack I almost had to pick Riding with Pancho too, and I think your picture of a garden house belongs on a jigsaw puzzle. I also think that you have a great picture of Becky (I'm very happy for her!), and the picture with Cowboy Joe reminds me of all the fun we had watching him on TV last semester. I also always like pictures of fireworks, and I especially like this one because of its creative and accurate title. But I don't think I could pick any one of these to be my absolute favorite.

My brother is also an amature photographer, and he sometimes enters his pictures into photo contests online. He actually got an award for one of them. You should check into that.

Obviously I'm going to vote for the one called, "Stephanie." ;) If beauty could only be fully captured by camera ...

I think I'm going to have to go with June 6th, paper crane. I love the picture and the hymn although like Julie said, Zack's argument for pancho is pretty compelling. See ya soon!

after days of careful contemplation and consideration, i have concluded that my favorites are: 1) June 6: Paper Crane (i love that hymn and how clear the words are in the center and then go fuzzy at the edges), 2) June 3: David's Guitar (i am fond of the one dimensional quality of this picture), 3) June 27: Dandelion in the Sky (i have taken pictures with your camera before and am in awe of your ability to capture this moment. unless, of course, you were trying to capture the firework (is that singular for fireworks?) prior and accidentally caught this one instead..).

Well, when it comes to purely the visual appeal of the subject matter, then Fancy is real eye candy (no pun intended) -- that's my favorite if we're just focusing on colors/shapes/textures. But sometimes the human touch in a photo trumps any aesthetic factors (case in point: the photo of you and Cowboy Joe -- awww, what a great pair you are!). In other cases, whenever you've added your captions or commentary, it often adds a different dimension. (For example, the story about the hummingbird being duped by the flower decoy is just too funny -- and a little sad.) My overall favorite in the caption-enhanced category: Hood Ornament! What a great distraction from the work I should be doing your photoblog is, Annie!
